Welcome to my little digi-fest on the web. The "Home" section of MSJoe.com is built using Microsoft's Open Source Orchard. [ www.orchardproject.net ]. As of this writing (08/22/2010) Orchard is in beta. While Orchard appears to be incredibly promising, it’s early state of development makes it a premature choice for a complex production blogging scenario so my blog and my podcast will be hosted using BlogEngine.net. Forums will be powered by YetAnotherForum.net, Wiki is Screw Turn Wiki, and the Media Gallery will be powered by Gallery Server Pro. MisfitGeek.com will be retired (check my blog for explanation) and old blog posts will be migrated to www.msjoe.com/blog as appropriate. Replacing the Misfit Geek persona is MSJoe. The first order of business will be to define a taxonomy for my Microsoft related content. The work will take place on thw Wiki. I hope you will be an active participant and feel free to contact me regularly with your thoughts and suggestions. Thanks |
